About Scrubs Paper Project
The Scrubs Paper Project is a connective community art project allowing healthcare workers on the frontlines an opportunity to share their experiences of battling COVID-19 while practicing responsible social distancing through artmaking.
Through the deconstruction of scrubs and other medical garments, handmade paper will be reconstructed with the pieces. These sheets of paper will then be printed on one side with a blank postcard template. Bundles of (5) postcards will be mailed out to healthcare workers, along with instructions and one card with a stamp. Each participant will decorate the front of the card with their story and return at least one postcard to Frontline Arts to be shown in our virtual exhibition.
With your support, we raised over $2,500! This will allow us to make 9-10 entire batches of Scrubs Paper Pulp, mail hundreds of postcards to healthcare workers who donated scrubs, and allow us to purchase additional papermaking supplies.
We couldn’t achieve success without our dedicated staff, passionate volunteers and generous donors like you. Your gifts, both large and small, will help us to achieve our mission of affecting change in our community. Thank you in advance for your generous support of our programs!
